Blog #672: My Late Letter to Santa – A Heartfelt Holiday Reflection

‘Tis the day after Christmas.

I’m thinkin’…

Santa is undoubtedly dedicated to his mission 365 days a year…so I’m sending him this late “letter.”

Let me say up front…

My letter to him involves wishes for three readers of this blog.

I’m not saying if you’re one of the three or not, but after reading…

You’ll know.

Dear Santa…

I know, I know, I know…

It’s been a long while since I’ve written.

But…

I’m pretty sure I’m still on the “Nice” list…

so I hope with a little scrolling you can find me.

Now I know (again)…

It’s the day after Christmas, and my letter is reaching your mailbag days late.

But (again)…

A major league Superhero like YOU who flies a sleigh high in the sky guided by nine reindeer, lands on roofs all over the world, slides effortlessly down chimneys, and does it all over the globe in ONE night can find a magical way to deliver THREE late gifts.

Am I right?

Sooo…

I write a blog called Extra Mile Thursday.

Unless you’re going by an alias, I’m positive you don’t subscribe…

but if you were ever tempted, how lucky would I be that you did?

Anyway…

I’ve been writing this blog for 15+ years. I’ve been blessed with thousands of amazing people who read it…and I’m grateful for EVERY one of them.

But at this moment…

I’m specifically thinking of THREE of them.

Although I don’t know what these three people need in terms of “stuff”…

I do believe each could use a magical “heart” present from you.

And with your unique Christmas magic – I mean you give away everything in your bag to a world that gives you only cookies, milk and the occasional peed on lap – this request would seem possible for a Miracle Magician like you.

Sooo…

I have three special gift requests for three special readers:

Reader #1…is hurting in health and body.

Can you please give that person a little extra Fortitude to keep going when they feel like giving up? The person has more to contribute…and we need them.

Reader #2…is devastated by life events.

Can you please give that person 365 days where they find Inspiration in just one thing a day? I think if you did, they’d again grow their passion for life.

Reader #3…is cemented by fear.

Can you please give that person a spirit of Courage that allows them to step outside of their Comfort Zone? I think the spark they would feel would change their life forever positive.

That’s my list.

Three people.

Three wishes.

I’m positive you know who each is.

I know they’ll recognize themselves.

And in ending, let me write…
