#467: My Shattering Screw Ups

Most of us have screwed up BIG time…once or twice.

Me?
I’ve been there ten times.

I spouted my mouth off at the wrong time in an election…and I lost.
I made a bad business decision…and it cost me a $1,000,000+ in a day.
I carried wallet and passport together in Spain…and was robbed and stranded.

I have more big OMG moments…
and 100+ little embarrassing ones, too.

I gave a speech to 150 people with my shirt buttoned…one button off.
I spilled red wine on a white carpet…at the house of my Congressman.
In an important speech contest…I went blank after the first two minutes.

Each was a shattering moment.

But I’m a rubber ball.
Not a glass vase.

Bouncing is my thing.
I come back.

After having survived 1,000 crappy moments, royal screw-ups and ugly experiences… I’m still here. And I’ve learned that one shattering moment doesn’t mean that all my days after should be lived…shattered.
