#483: If I Only Knew One Thing
From the moment we’re born…
we’re learning lessons.
As a baby…
I learned to watch faces.
I learned my feet can get me places.
I learned the sounds I made had impact.
As a child…
I learned having a pet is having a best friend.
I learned there is more to see outside than inside.
I learned the more I practiced, the better I became.
As a school kid…
I learned someone else is always faster.
I learned that books have magical power.
I learned to take turns when shooting baskets.
As a young guy trying to make a difference…
I learned to spend less money than I made.
I learned success isn’t as easy as they tell you.
I learned if I let failure get me down, I would never climb up.
As a guy growing older…
I learned I’m inspired the most when I inspire the most.
I learned that walking 750 miles is only impossible when I think it is.
I learned my best meditation is sitting outside watching my dogs see the world.
But in all of the difference-making lessons branded on my heart, brain and soul, the most important lesson…#1 of 10,000…is this:
If I’m not loving life, I’m doing something wrong.
Yours to think about.
EXTRA Thoughts…
A mediocre life grows tall when
mediocre thoughts are watered.
Thank you for taking a moment to
hang out with me today. I’m lucky.
If you missed last week’s blog…
here’s the short audio version (1:23):
