#516: I’d Take It in a Second
It’s almost sci-fi crazy.
It’s (almost) 2022.
The number once seemed like a far-away year in a sci-fi movie.
Now it’s not.
It’s OUR year.
And you and I are about to live in it.

I used to really get into January 1 moments with planning the year ahead… and I still do spend LOTS of time thinking about how I want the next year to play out…but I’ve grown practical in what works and doesn’t work in goal-setting.
I no longer think about 365-day resolutions.
Instead…
How about a goal for a solid thirty days? And if that doesn’t work…how about a resolution for ONE week? And still again…if we can set a goal and stick with it for only 24 hours, that still might be worth celebrating.
Change. Transformation. Renewal.
They happen in baby steps.
So…
30 days?
One week?
24 hours?
Pick one in 2022.
And make a change that makes a difference.

No desire to set a goal?
Then here’s one more effort to make this extra simple for you.
Just do one of two things:
1. Do MORE.
2. Do LESS.
You decide which.

Need ideas?
Do MORE.
1. Stretching.
2. Reading books.
3. Making new friends.
4. De-cluttering.
5. Volunteering.
Do LESS.
1. Reading the news.
2. Whining about life.
3. Hanging with energy sappers.
4. Checking social media pages.
5. Playing with self-sabotage.
Hey…
I believe that hiding inside one of these More/Less goals is the answer for helping you and me live with greater harmony.
And I’d take that in a second.

It’s 2022.
The once future sci-fi date has turned into our now.
I’m excited to live it.
And I believe if you spend even a minute brainstorming on how to create renewal in your life… you will be, too.
