Blog #735: My Demanding Boss
She asked…
“Don’t you work for yourself?”
I answered…
“I do.”
______
She kicked back…
“Then why do you only take calls at the end of the day?”
I responded…
“Because I work for a demanding boss.”
______
Will my day today be successful?
It depends.
How successful will I be at managing my day?
Most often…
We go or we stop as far as we allow ourselves to go or stop.
______
If I interrupt my day’s plan…
I interrupt my day’s momentum and progress. If I answer the phone every time it rings or respond to emails immediately as they arrive, I succeed FAR less.
I lose my flow.
I lose my focus.
I lose my mindset.
When that happens…
I lessen my chance at creating a successful day.
______
A day’s success begins with a day’s vision.
“What do I want to achieve today?”
When we don’t achieve what we wanted to achieve, we might choose to point fingers at others and blame THEM for slowing down our momentum.
And that might be true.
But only because we allowed it to be true.
We choose our day’s speed.
We choose our day’s rest stops.
We choose the number of miles we go in a day.
______
If…
You want to let the world run you…
Then the world will run you.
If you want to run in the world…
Then you run your schedule.
Control your clock.
Direct your success.

EXTRA Thoughts…
If I let the negative stuff continually stick to my brain…it’s hard to consistently live being positive.
