Blog #655: Pickleball, Tips and Tomato Growing

Aug 29, 2024Blog Post

“Can I give ya’ a tip?”

The line was humorously repeated
throughout a play I recently saw.

Pickleball.

Every player wanted to give another player a tip.
No other player really wanted to hear one.

______

Giving advice.

A lot of us are pros.

If someone asks us any one of tens of questions on tens of different topics…

we have a tip to offer.

Often…

We have a very clear idea of what they should do.

Job hunting?
Career advancing?
Health creating?
Love and dating?
Relationship building?
Kid and pet parenting?
Retirement planning?
Tomato growing?
Car buying?
Golf swing mastering?

We got tips.

______

But when it comes to figuring our own stuff out?

We forget our own tips.

“What would you tell someone else to do?”

That might be the perfect place for us to start in solving our own challenges and creating what we want to live.

______

So this week…

“Can I give ya’ a tip?”

I really got none.

I just want you to be great at living YOUR own.

EXTRA Thoughts

Three uncomfortable truths:

1. We are our own best enemy.
2. We are our own best drama creator.
3. We are our own best saboteur.

That won’t change unless we own that we are.

Miss last week’s blog?

I asked the question:

“Did you wake up thinking and feeling like you wanted to think and feel?”

If you didn’t, I wrote last week’s blog for YOU.

Waking Up Not So Perfecttt

Thank you for reading today.

YOU are appreciated.
