Blog #704: Do You Hear the Bell?

Aug 7, 2025Blog Post

If I’m living a stretch of unproductive days and am having trouble taking action and getting things done…

I get back on track with this accountability reminder.

______

I put this question continually in front of my brain.

“How am I going to live this next hour?”

When we’re having trouble with productivity and motivation, it’s not enough to start the day with a plan. When we’re struggling miserably, a morning plan alone will rarely be enough to keep us succeeding throughout the day.

But a plan made and committed to every hour might just be.

It’s tighter.
It’s focused.
It’s only for one hour.

Absolutely…

It’s an intense discipline, but isn’t our happiness worth it?

______

Want to really change your day’s momentum?

Then hold yourself accountable and ask the question.

“How am I going to live this next hour?”

It focuses on attitude.
It focuses on action.
It focuses on purpose.

If you’ve got those three areas moving forward, so will you.

______

Don’t think you can do it?

You did it 10,000 times before.
Back in school.

The bell would ring, and we’d move classes or change subjects. The hourly accountability kept us moving forward and succeeding throughout the day.

So if you don’t think you can do it now…
That’s just you making your life way too easy and unaccountable.

The success of our day, our life, and our health is up to us.

So let me ask you…

“How are you going to live this next hour?”

EXTRA Thoughts

When our life seemingly starts to fall apart and we start wishing and praying for miracles, may we return to one giant, difference-making thought:

We are the miracle.

Miss last week’s blog?

I was asked about my regrets. I shared the ONE that my brain dwells on the most.

Curious?

The Regret I Think About

Momentum flows in.
Momentum flows out.

But we do have the tools to affect how long the out lasts. This week, may you choose to use your tools.

Create a healthy, happy, and harmonious day…
and may you encourage others to do the same.

See you next Thursday.

With gratitude…
