Blog #733: Have You Met Punch?

Feb 26, 2026Blog Post

He’s only 7 months old.
But he’s had an extra tough beginning.

And because of his dual cuteness and courage…
The world has fallen in love with him.

I am one of the world.

______

Have you met “Punch”?

Abandoned at birth by his mom at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan, Punch has been bullied, thrown, pulled, and shoved lots by other monkeys.

And because of this…

Punch was forced to find his emotional support by hanging out with a new “best friend.”

His best friend?

The zookeepers gave him a little orangutan.

From IKEA.

Who doubles as a soft, fluffy stuffed toy.

______

In videos posted by the zoo…

Punch would hug his BFF, sleep holding her, and drag her everywhere.

It’s major league cute to watch and inspires the heart and brain.

In getting caught up looking for my daily “Punch” boost…

I’ve been tuning into him throughout the day.

______

In watching the little monkey…

I am reminded of secret keys to finding MY own happiness and harmony.

Watch inspiring things; be inspired.

Listen to happy music; be happy.

Read motivational stuff; be motivated.

Hang around better people; be better.

My brain, heart, and soul become what I feed them.

______

If you’ve read me much over the years…

You 100% know I don’t take living lightly.

A giant seed was planted in my head long ago.

“I get only one shot at this living thing.”

Always my #1 dominating goals…

Live happy.

Live healthy.

Live with harmony.

My wishing is not me “wishing upon a star.”

This stuff is created.

By what I think and DO.

______

I visit “Punch” online for a reason.

I love his inspiration.

Without inspiration…

I don’t walk the walk I walk.

For me?

Watching little Punch reminds me to hang in there and not give up.

Watching little Punch reminds me to live with creativity and resilience.

Watching little Punch is lots of “good stuff.”

______

Want to feel more of life’s good stuff?

Feed yourself more of the “good” stuff.

Cling to the positive.

Just like…

An inspiring little guy named Punch.

EXTRA Thoughts

Punch update:

Punch is no longer a solo traveler. He plays and hangs with other young monkeys in his new troop. His little plush toy friend has not been forgotten, however. On a more limited level, he still hangs with the orangutan plushie for comfort.

Not seen Punch yet?

Here’s a video to meet the cute, brave, and world-famous little monkey for the first time.
