Blog #536: When It Doesn’t Come Easy
Some weeks my blogs come easy.
Some weeks they don’t.
Some weeks…
I’m hit by an instant idea that inspires a first draft in twenty minutes.
Other weeks…
I’m smashed for six days in a row by an iceberg of giant brain freeze.
Even though…
I may have had to frustratingly fiddle with developing two, three and sometimes even FIVE different blog ideas before finding the “write” ONE…for 536 Thursdays I’ve found something I felt had enough value to hit “SEND.”
______
I’m pretty sure…
My challenges aren’t that different from the challenges you sometimes face.
You know what yours are.
We all have our… somethings.
______
For me…
Whether it’s digging deep for hard-to-find inspiration, overcoming harsh rejection or looking for the courage to “Go for it!“…I’ve learned to trust three faithful rules:
#1. Don’t freak out.
#2. Trust the process.
#3. Keep chipping away.
______
We drown in our results when we drown in our actions.
We drown in our actions when we drown in our emotions.
We drown in our emotions when we drown in our thoughts.
Protect your thoughts.
Good thoughts.
Good emotions.
Good actions.
Good results.
One leads to another.
Simple stuff.
______
Life can be complicated.
Life can be simple.
Choose one.
Me?
I’m sticking with keeping things simple.
I’m able to swim to distant shores more often when I do.
Don’t complicate your something.
Don’t complicate the simple.
EXTRA Thoughts…
Today…
I have three simple priorities:
1. Do one thing to create better health.
2. Do one thing for my biggest goal.
3. Do one thing for another person.
I’m sensing today’s going to be pretty great.
Here’s the audio version of this week’s blog.
