Blog #675: A Secret Shared by Twelve

Our lives passionately change
when we find the courage to do this.
What exactly is…this?
______
I call them FIRSTS.
Here are twelve people whose lives changed when they lived theirs.
1. The guy who’s now visited 112 countries…after initially finding the courage to visit his first years ago.
2. The 12-year faithful AA attender who walked scared into her first meeting.
3. The woman who dances twice a week with tens of friends because she found the courage to walk through her first dance door without knowing anyone.
4. The now-thriving entrepreneur who found the courage to live the first day without a secure job…and paycheck.
5. The podcast host who celebrated his 500th show…started it all by finding his first guest for his first show.
6. The woman, now in a great relationship, who had to have a stressful first day of leaving a bad one.
Let me introduce you to six more people.
7. The international flying Delta pilot who once found the courage to fly solo for her first time.
8. The triathlete who first learned how to swim…after the age of 50.
9. The 7-time book author who once nervously wrote the first sentence of his first book.
10. The couple who now celebrates living in Thailand…after they survived the insecurity of a first day of packing moving boxes in the U.S.
11. The woman who was talked into her first Meatless Monday and now hasn’t eaten meat for over two years.
12. The woman who took her first running steps at age 55…and then ran 90 marathons, 143 races over 50 miles, and set 70+ national and international running records.
I am inspired to know each of these people.

Experience has inked me with this fact…
If we dream of living life more passionately than what we currently live, we need to think about finding the courage to do something we’ve never done.
I call them FIRSTS.
